Jackson got to play in 2 JV games this week. Since he was out 2 games for Varsity due to his lip. I took way too many pictures and enjoyed him getting a chance to start.

This past week, he collided with a teammate at practice and ended up with 4 stitches just above his lip. First time for any of my kids. It was disappointing because he had to sit out for a week and missed 2 games. He was too big for the bed at CHKD and promptly removed his spongebob bandaid as soon as we left. He opted for the lidocaine injection because it was quicker than the gel because he had planned to go to the JV game that night and wasn't going to miss it, despite the fresh stitches and swollen lip.
Update: stitches are out and site looks good and he's cleared to return to basketball. All is right in his world again. This was such a great night. We are so proud of Jack. He played in his first Varsity game against Cape Henry. They lost. But he had 3 points and several rebounds and a great assist (the crowd went crazy). Looking forward to a lot of growth this year and already excited about next year.
We had a great weekend in Charleston, SC. Played hard in the championship but came up short. It was a tough life lesson for Cameron. But he had his friends by his side to help pick him up. That wraps up baseball, for now at least. It was a good start to what I think is going to be a great future for these boys.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
