"Mom, take another picture! Mom, take a picture of me doing this!!" It was a beautiful 78 degree day in mid February. Our day started off with Jackson's basketball game. Bella & I went to Cam's baseball practice afterwards. Only because it was such a beautiful day. We don't get many >70 degree weather days in February. I took advantage to practice shooting. After taking some shots of practice, I followed Bella around the park for a bit. I don't do many photo shoots with her. Mainly, because of lack of time. There is never enough time for us to do the things we need to do, much less the things we want to do. But, I need to make that time. Somewhere, somehow. She really enjoyed me following her around with my camera. And she was feeling herself.

{9/52} Went to a baseball practice today because it was 78. In February. Baseball season officially starts in 3 weeks. I love to watch him play this sport. The only thing I wish for him right now is that he learns to be a little easier on himself. (Even if he does look like a 12 year old!!)
Dexter has become one of the best things that ever happened to our family. And he's not even our dog. The entire family, even Mimi, has fallen head over heels for this silly dog. He fit right into our family like we grew him in a test tube. He's smart, snuggly, loving, gentle, fun, and goes with the flow. Bella is his biggest fan (after Kaleb, of course). She loves spending the night at Aunt Jodi's so she can see Dexter King. So to give an Aunt Jodi a break (haha), I invited Dexter to our house for a sleepover. It really was easier than having a kid spend the night. And Bella was great with him. She wanted to be in charge of everything, from feeding him to picking up his poop (which she took pride in, surprisingly). We had a movie party and they shared popcorn. And she showered him with treats when he performed all of his famous tricks like a good little puppy. She was super excited to have him sleep in her bed, but didn't expect (and neither did I) that he would follow me around and not want to leave my side. She was disappointed, and even cried because Dexter loved me more than her.
Eventually, the 3 of us ended up in her bed that night. She was a great little dogsitter and was sad when he had to go home. Annual Drillers Banquet. I was so impressed with these boys this year. They have grown and matured since last year. I think being a party of this organization and seeing all that baseball has to offer is such a great thing. I hope they realize how lucky they are. I've seen them come a long way in many things, but they are truly growing together and the friendships is what this is truly all about. And they do clean up nice!!
When you finally become eye to eye with your oldest baby, who is also your mini-me.... This was the night his Brandon Chargers basketball team won the VBMSL city championship game. I had been the gym just before and was sweaty and, well, you know. But I made myself (and made Josh take a picture) get in the frame with him because, he's as tall as me, and I am his biggest fan.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
