Friday night, we hosted our first fundraiser event for Cameron's travel team, the Cannons. Josh worked really hard in organizing this night, along with one of the other team moms. The Wounded Warriors were in town so we held a softball exhibition against local celebrity softball players. We had a pretty good turnout, considering the weather was terrible. It rained most of the night, complete with lightning and lots of wind. The little kids had a race and won prizes for the fastest times. We had raffles and music and bbq that Josh had arranged to be donated. It was a great idea, and Josh did a great job putting everything together. I was very proud of him. The Wounded Warriors were amazing. Some of the guys were double amputees. One of the players had even lost his left arm and was able to swing the bat (and hard) using only his right arm. Such amazing strength, inside and out.

{110/365}: We had one of the best Easters this year. It was a little chilly but not unbearable. The boys love playing Four Square right now. We played that evening at Honey & Pop Pop's. Everyone had a great time, except for Cameron. Who can be a sore loser. {111/365}: I had the day off. Cameron had his 7 year check up. The doctor said he is the size of an average 9 year old. Afterwards we had milkshakes and french fries and I introduced him to the goodness of dipping your fries in your shake. {112/365}: Tuesday night baseball. Nice reach, Cameron. {113/365}: Jackson won a contest at Church on Easter by guessing how many marshmallows were in a container. He was off by like 2! His prize : 2 foot tall Big Binks. {114/365}: Little girl panties. And they're boyshorts!! "I'm gonna peepee in the potty and I'm gonna get a wotttt of candee!" She says. {115/365}: Wounded Warriors/ Cannons Fundraiser night. Despite the rain, we had a decent turnout. {116/365}: Is it cheating if Josh took this picture? But I did edit it. And I love it. I can't believe how big she looks here. Or how much she loves me.
We surprised my sister at church in the morning. Afterwards, the kids hunted for eggs, and we ate brunch.
Annnnnd more baseball. But who's complaining? Not me. It was a GREAT weekend. Lots of baseball. But the best part - the weather! It was beautiful, 70-80s. Josh & I made our annual trip to Home Depot and I got all excited about the flowers and getting the yard right. This time of year, our backyard depresses me and overwhelms me. I'm ready to open the pool. I'm ready to get some flowers in the pots. Of course I was so motivated, I came home and napped with Bella while Josh worked in the yard. Picking out the plants downright exhausted me. But up and at em for another baseball game Sunday evening. Both teams won again this weekend. Cameron played 2, and his team remains undefeated. Jackson pitched his best game yet. {103/365}: After each Yankees' game, the parents/family form a tunnel for the players to run through. The kids love it. Cameron carried Vaeda with him this time. {104/365}: At the ball field again. Hanging out with Granddaddy. {105/365}: Grocery shopping is the bane of my existence. {106/365}: Still undefeated. {107/365}: These days she has to do everything herself. Get dressed, put on her shoes, brush her teeth. Even pour her own drinks. {108/365}: Our Friday night. Mortal Kombat tournament. Followed by a Just Dance party. {109/365}
Jackson's birthday present. Still can't believe he's 10. Doesn't get much cuter than these two. Bella and her friend, Sean, playing at their brothers' baseball game.
I stumbled across another photography project. As if I have time. Project 365 is kicking my butt. I'll admit, it's all very addicting. And I have an addictive personality. And possibly a touch of A.D.H.D. But whatever. Read more about it here. The best present ever came from Santa and was a basketball goal for our driveway. Keeps the boys outside, even in the winter. It brings all the neighborhood kids, too. 10 years old and these boys still love to "hunt zombies". This girl and her babies.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
