They're obsessed with everything basketball. It's all sports, all the time. I'm not complaining. There's no time for video games. And they're content to play basketball in the driveway. Every night. As soon as we walk in the door. I can't even park in our driveway anymore. Cameron goes around on his bike gathering the neighborhood kids. I have to drag them inside for dinner and homework. They come in all hot and sweaty and red faced. Usually arguing. All of a sudden, he started calling him "Dad". And I see some shifting of Jackson's attention from me to Josh. I knew this day would come. He's always been his momma's boy; but, someone told me there would come a time when he will start to turn to his Dad for answers. I think that time is coming. I'm only sad because I see how quickly he is growing up. But I couldn't be more proud of the young boy he is becoming. Or of the unbreakable bond he is forming with his father. I don't know what to make of the competitiveness of boys. Sure us females are competitive, but in a different kind of way. And over way different things. Boys are quick to throw blows. But where us girls can hold a grudge; with boys, it's all forgotten about in a few minutes.

I'm so behind. And taking more and more pictures with my phone to stay caught up. {138/365}: Finally got to Home Depot to get some flowers for my pots. I'm hoping the clematis will climb up the trellis. And I just love my Swim sign from my mom. Yes, the pool is officially OPEN! {139/365}: Cam sharing a moment with Pop Pop after his triple. {140/365}: Jackson asked me to take this picture. Sometimes you wonder if you're doing things right. And then moments like this make you realize you are. {141/365}: Weekly 3 Amigos dinner. Love that this little boy still likes to do puzzles. Even Minnie Mouse puzzles. {142/365}: Cameron took a little cat nap before his game. {143/365}: Did I mention how much I love summer? {144/365}: Memorial Day weekend. Camping in our favorite spot on the sound in Frisco.
We recreated this photo taken at this same spot 4 years earlier. What a difference 4 years can make! Bella.
These days, she won't leave my side. She follows me to the bathroom. When I get up from the couch, "Mommy, where you going?" She steals candy from the Easter baskets and hoes under the table to eat it. Her favorite song is "take a sophia" (translation "Lemme take a selfie"). {131/365}: Mother's day. Brunch at Baker's Crust. Then it was rushing to a baseball game. My kind of day. Wouldn't have it any other way. {132/365}: Found this bird's nest in my fern. They are the tiniest eggs ever. {133/365}: The eggs in the fern prompted me to get these bird houses for the kids to decorate. For some reason, Jackson wanted to paint his with lightning bolts. {134/365}: Sweet moment between Cameron and his grandfather. {135/365}: Getting a pedicure by this fancy chick. {136/365}: Friday night at Harbor Park. It was Samstrong night. We were supporting one of our favorite coaches, Sam Jennings, in his battle against colon cancer. Beat the Beast! {137/365}: I can't make this stuff up. And yes, she picked out her own shoes, too.
For some reason, the boys are fascinated with Zombies. Last night, we had friends over for a cookout, and the battle was on.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
