The 12 “Life in Loud” founders would like to extend an invitation to other photographers to “join” our vision of inspiring and supporting artist photographers to shoot from their heart and for themselves. Block out the loud or rise above it, listen to your own intuition and make a photo just for you. Cause when she loves me Girl that's how I feel Cause when she loves me I'm on top of the world Cause when she loves me I can live forever When she loves me I am untouchable She got whatever it is Zac Brown Band The other night, the boys were playing their usual game of flag football in the street. That's Jackson with his friend, Jared, and our neighbor, Chase. Cameron was there, too, but he was off pouting and wouldn't get in the picture. I took Bella outside to practice taking some backlighting photos. The sun was just perfect. It wasn't too chilly, but a nice Fall evening.
Bella knows just how to flirt with the boys, and they are all smitten with her. There's just something about this girl. She's got whatever it is.

We don't get to take many vacations alone together, with no kids in tow. With 3 little kids, this is next to impossible. This past weekend, we took a mini-vacation and went to Ann Arbor, Michigan for a Wolverines football game. We've been a few other times. We flew out Friday morning and returned Sunday morning. It is always a whirlwind trip, and I wouldn't call it "relaxing" since we function on little sleep all weekend. We had to leave home at 3:30 a.m. to make our flight out. Josh's mother spent the night with us so she could get the kids up and on the bus to school the next morning. Aside from the lack of sleep, we had a great time. And missed the kids terribly. Cameron was probably the most upset. He is not used to us going away, even for a few days. He texted me Saturday from Honey's phone "I miss you" and "what time are you comeing (his actual spelling) home on Sunday?"
The weather on Friday was perfect. Mid-50s. Sunny. We spent the day walking around downtown and around campus. It was very crowded because it was Parents Week. It is so pretty in Ann Arbor in the Fall. It's only 8:45, and already we've cleaned the kitchen, unloaded the dishwasher, made coffee, and had a bath. And of course there were a few bubble beards. "Mommy, I wann nack." If only I had a dime for every time I heard that. Or for every time I came around the corner to find this.
I've missed the smell of Fall. I bought a room spray today from Pier One - Autumn Leaves. It smells like apple cider. I love the scent of cinnamon and apples. It's Halloween week and I feel like I'm just now realizing that Autumn is upon us. We haven't visited a pumpkin patch yet. I have zero decorations out. I went looking for mums today and they must be sold out. Instead I can home with a can of room spray. Today was a nice Fall day. Temperature was in the 50's. It was very comfortable. Slightly chilly. But I can appreciate this after lady weekend in Michigan. I saw the first 2 innings of Jackson's game and left to head over to Cameron's belt ceremony. He was awarded his high red belt today. After lunch at Pizza Hut with 5 kids, we went to Cameron's game. We officially closed the pool today. Of course it hasn't been swam in in several weeks. We've just had NO time. I just ran Kaleb home and I'm back on the couch with a glass of wine. Josh is waiting on me to finish so we can continue our Breaking Bad marathon. I love Saturday nights.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
